reflecT-ion

after entering the 140,000 i discovered that the actual number of people killed in the first bomb was 70,000 in the first few kms of the center. the numbers doubled after a few days. but the initial number stands around the 70 000 mark. when this number is transcribed into physicality, its astonishing. what does 70 000 represent? what can we compare 70 000 to? 70 000 what....
what. the printer took forever to print out the 70 000(2' x 2') and the
70 000(2' x 5'6")....
a standing vertical human.
a horizontal human.
how about humans being integrated into the earth? from standing....slowly moving down...or negative verticality....

each person is approximately 4-6 pounds of ash.
5 times 70 000 = 350 000 pounds of ash.
what does that weigh? how can we fathom that.
these figures must equate to something architectural. the complexity is apparent.

what is present?
unpleasant. doubtful.
from the bad, good must transpire.
hope.

MR. SAWACHIKA : ....I was in my office. I had just entered the room
and said "Good morning." to colleagues and I was about to
approach my desk when outside it suddenly turned bright red. I
felt very hot on my cheeks....As soon as I cried, I felt weightless as if I were an
astronaut....I went to the windows to find out where the bombing had taken
place. And I saw the mushroom cloud over the gas company. The
sound and shock somehow suggested that the bomb had been dropped
right over the gas company. I still had no idea what had
happened. And I kept looking towards the gas company....As they came to us,
they held their hands aloft. They looked like they were ghosts....It's a sad reality that the smell human beings produce when they are burned is the same as that of the dried squid when
it is grilled. The squid - we like so much to eat. It was a
strange feeling, a feeling that I had never had before. I can
still remember that smell quite clearly....

INTERVIEWER : How many patients did you treat on August 6?
ANSWER : Well, at least 2 or 3 thousands on that very day if you
include those patients whom I gave all directions to. I felt
that as if once that day started, it never ended. I had to keep
on and on treating the patients forever. It was the longest day
of my life....

I learned that the nuclearweapons which gnaw the minds and bodies of human beings shouldnever be used. Even the slightest idea using nuclear arms shouldbe completely exterminated the minds of human beings. Otherwise,we will repeat the same tragedy. And we will never stop beingashamed of ourselves.

Ode to the sun.

Ok. So its sunny and getting a tad warmer out there. finally. althougth i was getting used to the cold. not sure it really matters though, since i will be in studio for the next few weeks. and then other school work will have to get finished after that. the warmer it gets the more difficult it will be to work. so i am here on a sunday afternoon, getting ready to accomplish a few things. i will go over the idea i now have for my project as of monday, march 14th at 230pm.this time stuck with me, because i explained the ideas that are formulating to a fellow classmate as it being the idea that came about at that time and date....perhaps it was a sort of turing point. lets hope that. i have been reflecting into the direction of my ultra morbid type of project. althougth it was going the way i desired. or so i thought. i will incorporate hope. lets see where it goes. ....
